Filters
Filters screen every payment transaction that is sent to merchant for fraud evaluation, aiming to block the fraudulent transactions and approve the genuine ones.
As part of each filter, you define criteria to evaluate payments. If any payment meets the criteria, the decision defined in the respective filter is made on the payment.
A filter can have any one of the following decisions, and it is categorized based on its decision.
- Approve: Allows a payment to be processed and accepted.
- Reject: Blocks a payment from processing further and rejects it.
- Review: Holds a payment for manual review.
A set of filters is provided during your onboarding process. These filters are highly customized and tailored for your business by considering various payment attributes, such as business segment, average transaction volume, past chargebacks, and so on. It's your choice to enable the filters you deem fit for your business. Additionally, you could create your own filters as well with your expertise in your business domain.
Filters is also capable of forecasting the impact of a filter even before you enable it on your incoming payments. This is helpful whenever you enable or disable a filter, change a filter threshold, or create a new filter to know what the potential approval and rejection rates shall be.
