PayPal enables you to use information stored from a previous transaction to quickly create a new transaction. The transaction data from a previous transaction of your choice is automatically transferred to populate the fields of the order page in Virtual Terminal for a new transaction.
When PayPal looks up the reference transaction to obtain the transaction data to be used by the new Sale or Authorization, neither the reference transaction nor any other transaction in the database is changed in any way. That is, a reference transaction is a read-only operation - only the new transaction is acted upon.
To create a new transaction using information provided for a previously submitted transaction, click the "Create a Transaction" link on the Transaction Details page of the original transaction. The Create a New Order page appears. Some of the fields are pre-populated with information from the previous transaction, although you can change them.
