Determining Your IP Address

If your computer is part of a Local Area Network (LAN), ask your Systems Administrator for your IP address.

If your computer is not on a LAN, follow this procedure:

Windows NT 3.51:

  1. From the Main Group Window, double-click the MS-DOS Prompt.

  2. At the MS-DOS prompt, type ipconfig and press Enter.

Windows NT 4.0:

  1. On the Start menu, select Programs and click Command Prompt.

  2. At the command prompt, type ipconfig and press Enter.

Windows 2000/XP:

  1. On the Start menu, select Run.... In the Run box, type cmd and click OK.

  2. At the command prompt, type ipconfig and press Enter.
