The most important part of building a Custom Filter is specifying the transaction filters you want to use.
The transaction filters you define in a Custom Filter behave identically to the individual, stand-alone filters. However, they are also independent of the stand-alone filters. This has two important effects:
Specific filter settings within a Custom Filter, such as the monetary amount for the Total Purchase Price Ceiling filter, apply only to that Custom Filter. The stand-alone filter retains its current settings. Other Custom Filters may also use the same filter independently.
A stand-alone filter may complement or conflict with the filter rule within a Custom Filter. Always be aware of your current filter settings and test them before deploying them live!
