Create Custom Filter page enables you to create new Custom filters or modify existing Custom filters.
Custom filters detect fraud threats that are unique to your business. Each Custom filter combines up to five existing filters into a logic statement that you design on this page. For details, refer to Building Custom Filter Logic, Overview.
If you include a filter that requires a setting (for example, Product Watch List or Purchase Price Ceiling), you will have the opportunity on the next page to specify a custom setting that will be used only by this Custom filter. Specific filter settings within a Custom filter, such as the monetary amount for the Total Purchase Price Ceiling filter, apply only to that Custom filter. The stand-alone filter retains its current settings. Other Custom filters may also use the same filter independently.
Perform the following steps to create or modify a Custom filter:
If you are creating a new filter, enter a descriptive name for the custom filter. If you are modifying the filter, you can change the name too.
Select up to 5 filters and set them as per your requirements.
Specify the action for the filter:
Accept. If a transaction triggers that filter, that transaction is allowed through the normal transaction submission process.
Reject. If a transaction triggers that filter, that transaction will be rejected. This transaction is not submitted for processing.
Review. If a transaction triggers that filter, that transaction is set aside for review.
You cannot submit a rejected transaction for processing. No further action of any kind can be taken with a rejected transaction.
