Acceptable IP Address Format Guidelines

• To represent a range of IP addresses, use the asterisk (*) character.

• Each IP address must be internet-facing.

IP Addresses that are Not Allowed

• Internal network addresses

• Any addresses in the range 10.*.*.*

• Addresses in the range 172.16.*.* to 172.31.*.*

• Addresses in the range 192.168.0.* to 192.168.255.*

• Dynamic IP addresses (Modem connection or AOL, Earthlink, and so on)

• Single IP address of the form: xyz.xyz.xyz.xyz (where xyz represents a number that is identical in each portion of the address)
