Use the Edit Standard Filter page to select and configure the fraud filters you would like to use, by specifying the action to take whenever the filter identifies a suspicious transaction.
Typically, you specify setting the transaction aside for review. For transactions that you deem extremely risky, for example, a known bad email address, you might specify rejecting the transaction outright. You can turn off any filter so that it does not screen transactions.
For some filters, you also set the value that triggers that filter, for example, the monetary amount of the ceiling price in the Total Purchase Price Ceiling filter.
Some filters are designed to automatically accept transactions that meet specific criteria, like a known good customer's account number that you specify.
Changes to your filter settings are not saved until you deploy them.
Fraud filters are distributed under larger filter categories. For detailed information on each filter, refer to Basic Fraud Protection Services Filters.
Click the radio button next to the filter name to turn the filter ON, and un-click the radio button to turn the filter OFF.
The Edit Valued field offers the following options for some filters:
Click Edit List to modify the list for that filter. For example, for Bad Account Number, enter known bad credit card numbers. The filter will then compare customer’s account number against the list you create here. Any transaction that is an exact match with an entry here triggers the filter.
Enter a number or an amount in the box provided. For example, if you do not want a purchase to exceed £1000.00, then enter that amount in the box for the Total Purchase Price Ceiling filter.
Make a selection from the drop-down menu.
For Filter Action, you have the following option:
Accept. If a transaction triggers that filter, that transaction is allowed through the normal transaction submission process.
Reject. If a transaction triggers that filter, that transaction will be rejected. This transaction is not submitted for processing.
Review. If a transaction triggers that filter, that transaction is set aside for review.
You cannot submit a rejected transaction for processing. No further action of any kind can be taken with a rejected transaction.
Click Deploy to save changes made to your settings.
If you do not click Deploy, then all your settings are lost.
